I’ve been with Blissfully Domestic just over a year now. In March of 2010 they brought me in as Editor-in-Chief and I’ve been working so hard to see the site grow and increase ever since. I’ve met some amazing writers and the site has doubled in page views because of them (the writers).
This is why I am thrilled beyond measure to be able to share that Blissfully Domestic is growing yet again! We’re now for several current or coming topic areas. And at $25 upfront per post it’s nothing to wrinkle your nose at!
Topics include:
- Travel
- Pets
- Marriage
- Homeschooling
- Celebrity News
- Entrepreneur
and several more. If you have professional writing experience or knowledge in any of the topics listed on the application take a minute to fill out the form! I’d love to see some of you, my faithful readers, apply to work with me at Blissfully Domestic. If you’re interested fill out the here.
Thanks for posting, tweeting, and facebooking this!! lol
I just applied. It took me 2 days, and about 5 hours to get my application together. With all the publicity about this I know competition will be high. Praying I get a paid position!
Thanks for sharing this. I just sent in my application. Blissfully Domestic sounds like a wonderful place to write for!
Hey Ang. I am so behind on my reader that I just saw this. And the link is off. If travel writers are still needed let me know. 🙂
Angela, I finally got a chance to fill out the application and it’s turned off. Let me know if you still need writers. I’ll email you as well!

Hey Angela – I just came across this, but the link is now down. Are you guys still looking?
Thanks!
Anyone interested in submitting posts for consideration should check out the Write For Us link in the footer of the site. Submission guidelines are clearly explained.

I’ve read somewhere that writing for the web is completely different from writing for a magazine or some other form of literary press. The Internet and social media have made amazing things possible for both online entrepreneurs and offline businesses. Those who make the most of this revolutionary time in history are also building a media asset of their own. Got any writing tips for not so good writers like me?
Hi Angela,
Am interested in writing for Blissfully Domestic… went over to the site but can’t seem to see what topic focus there are for the next following months.. How to apply to write for the site as the contact form has been turn off.
I’m heading over there right now. I write about all things domestic: marriage, parenting, housework, homeschooling, hobbies and faith. I feel like I just quoted the Neil Young song, “From Hank to Hendrix” by covering all those topics!
Hi Angela.
I am a little confused –Is Blissfully Domestic still accepting writers applications or submissions by freelance writers? It seems writers can submit spec pieces through the website. Is that right? Any input would be great. Thank you!
Mary – applications for assigned articles are no longer being accepted but writers can submit article ideas for consideration. Of course that’s more difficult as in-house writers get “dibs” on open spots. 🙂
