I think HubPages is a great way to supplement other online income streams and build backlinks. But I would urge people to carefully read their terms of service before signing up, especially if they are not a native English speaker. Many contributors have their accounts and articles deleted for not following the rules and for submitting poorly written articles.

Hi, thanks for this. I have a question!

I’ve just logged into hubpages for the first time in about a month. I’ve found that i’ve been getting really great ad revenue. This has happened all of a sudden. Only, i have about 50 hubs and i’m not sure if hubpages can show you which hubs are the ones generating the ad revenue??? What do you think?

This is an excellent blog note on the advantages of HubPages.com I have been a member for 16 months and am nearly at the point where I can make some decent money. It is work, but the staff at HubPages.com have put together a platform that me be the easiest writers platform out there. The traffic to HubPages is great, and the daily summation of earnings from various ad sites is super.
If you are a person just starting out in article writing, I would highly recommend this as a starting place. You won’t regret it.

Angela, are you allowed to link to your own articles from your blog (in order to drive traffic, promote your hub, etc.)? I like the idea of having a place to stick the oddball articles that don’t fit on MoneywiseMoms.

While some ads are spammy certainly, Google adsense vets their advertisers to prevent virus laden ads and things. You have to sign up with Google Adsense as a publisher in order to use the adsense pay model with hubpages. There are also amazon and other affiliate links.

Hi! I just came across your blog when I was researching Hubpages. I want to know more about how adsense works. How do I know that people who visit my article are clicking on the ad? Personally I usually stay away from those ads cause sometimes they are just spam and Im afraid they will hurt my pc. It would be great to hear back from you. Thanks!

Thanks for the Hubpages review, Angela! I figured I should branch out a little and had settled on Hubpages and eHow (through Demand), but was unsure about my decision. I think I’ll give Hubpages a real shot after reading your review.
